Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico, she began her career in the role as Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. With roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly made herself a household name as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also wrote, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek appeared in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the subsequent time and then devoted herself to making films.
