It was common for him to be picked on at school, and being a Spider-Man enthusiast, he referred to himself as Spider-Man's alter ego, Peter Parker. He went to several schools such as Priory Preparatory School, City of London Freemen's School, Central School of Speech and Drama and The University of London, from where he graduated in 2004. Once he realized he was not interested in the business world anymore, he became more involved in acting. There were numerous awards he won, including his BAFTA Award, Tony Award as well as an A.A.C.T.A. He was awarded the "Best Actor Award for his part in "Hacksaw Ridge".
