Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2010, when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has an unique soprano scream and a knack for writing emotional songs with uplifting lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she is at forefront of contemporary mainstream pop as well as artistic independent music. In the end, she signed a major-label agreement for her label Polydor Records and began making preparations to release her debut album.
